Dispute Center

The Code of Ethics for REALTORS® is a robust framework designed to ensure professional conduct and the resolution of disputes in a fair manner. Members agree to abide by this code and are held accountable through a structured process that allows for the filing of ethics complaints. The Ombuds Program offers a less formal approach to conflict resolution, aiming to resolve issues through mediation before they escalate. This system reflects the commitment of REALTORS® to maintain the highest standards of practice and to foster trust in the real estate profession.

Filing an Ethics Complaint

The Historic Highlands Association of REALTORS® has entered into a cooperative agreement with Maryland Realtors®, who is responsible for enforcing the REALTORS® Code of Ethics.  If you feel a REALTOR® has not abided by the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, you may wish to file a complaint.  The following information is beneficial: Before You File an Ethics Complaint, and the Ethics Complaint Form. You may also contact Sandi Frazer at Maryland Realtors® via email or @ 443-716-3500.
