What is a REALTOR®?

Numerous professionals embody the real estate industry. You may know them as brokers, salespeople, agents, property managers, lenders, appraisers, and more. Most real estate professionals concentrate in either the residential or commercial side of the business, while others work in both areas. Not all real estate professionals are REALTORS®, a trademarked term which offers you the following. The term REALTOR® specifically identifies someone as a member of the National Association of REALTORS® who pledges to abide by a strict Code of Ethics and Professional Standards.

Who Is a Member of the Historic Highlands Association of REALTORS®?

All REALTORS® are members of one or more of the 1,400+ local associations, also known as Boards. Our members are REALTORS® who are interested in conducting real estate business in Allegany County, Maryland. We also invite Affiliate Members, individuals who run businesses that provide services to the real estate industry.

What are the benefits of Membership?

Historic Highlands Association of REALTORS® grants you access to resources, such as SentriLock, transactional forms, continuing education opportunities, and information about local regulations and industry updates. We also offer you the ability to network with your professional colleagues to exchange ideas and collaborate.
